This Saturday, on Aug 24, 2019, the First Night of the Albatross took place at the Lastovo Carnival Square, organized as part of the LIFE Artina Project.
The gathered visitors were entertained by the Ladesta Women’s acapella singing group, Men’s acapella singing group Fumari and the Lastovo’s folklor group. Local souvenir makers had the opportunity to present their products. The refreshments were taken care of by the Šarić Winery, members of the Lastovo’s folklor group who prepared the pancakes, the Cancer League activists who prepared the sweet fritters, and Hacienda Barbić who prepared delicious salty snacks.
The youngest had opportunity to learn something about seabirds and the importance of reducing the use of disposable plastic. To raise awareness of the importance of reducing disposable plastic, paper plates, wooden utensils, and reusable plastic cups were used throughout the evening.
